Northwest Triangle Ohio Blenders Demolition Commencement Event

Northwest Triangle Ohio Blenders Demolition Commencement Event

We were honored to be asked to cover and participate in the Northwest Triangle Ohio Blenders Demolition Commencement Event today in downtown York by Kevin Schreiber, the Director of the Economic Development Department & Redevelopment Authority. It was so exciting to celebrate the birth of a new era in downtown York with many friends, public officials, and of course the news media.

The following is a statement from Kevin Schreiber on the future plans for this location:

The City’s largest economic development project in recent history, the Northwest Triangle is a mixed-use project featuring market-rate residential, commercial office space, retail, and recreational space, including the extension of the popular York County Rail Trail.

The Northwest Triangle Redevelopment Area consists of the brownfield site northwest of Continental square in downtown York, bounded generally to the north and the west by the Codorus Creek and to the east by North George Street. The Northwest Triangle will become a thriving live-work-play downtown neighborhood, providing a high quality sense of place in our city.

Based on current projections, the project will establish 84,000 square feet of commercial and retail space and between 85-135 market-rate townhouses and condominiums. The Triangle will infuse downtown with a critical mass of homeowners, spending power, job creation, and recreational enhancements.

As a part of the official ceremony, we were asked to donate a fine art panoramic print of the lot, and everyone got to take home an 11×17 print. If you are interested in obtaining a copy, or a purchasing a signed canvas, please contact us:

Thanks, again, to Kevin and everyone who participated. (The meet and greet at the White Rose afterward was a blast too! :)
