They have the perfect combination of business savvy, environmental awareness, and overall chic.

We had a blast documenting an afternoon with the Green Bean gals….check out the fabulous space- I can almost smell the aroma….Mmmmm…

Crickett Julius lost her battle with breast cancer in 2006, and every year her friends, family, and many others inspired by her story come together to celebrate her life and legacy. A huge thank you to all who donated to the silent auction, and to our friend Matt Cleveland, Occasions DJ, for providing the music and MC’ing the event!

Hundreds of people gathered on Beaver Street to sample art, food, music, and culture. Downtown Inc. partnered with Bring on Play to bring a wonderful family friendly event to Downtown. Attendees enjoyed a bouncy house, face painting, a magician, and even pics with the Easter bunny himself (by Camera Center of York).  A huge thank you to everyone who participated!

I wanted to ensure all are aware of this event that will bring statewide attention to our City. Tickets are FREE to the event, you simply have to call the Strand Box Office at 846-1155 and RSVP. We should all be proud this event will be held Downtown. This year’s Distinguished Pennsylvanian Arts Award is being presented to York County’s own, sculptor Jeff Koons.

Jeff is now based in NYC and Europe, although he is reconstructing his family farmhouse in Red Lion and still frequents Central Market. Jeff is the highest grossing living contemporary artist in the world. You may remember a recent piece, Hanging Heart, that sold at Sotheby’s for $23.5 million.

Tickets to the awards ceremony are FREE as well as to the Valencia reception thereafter.
